The body is constantly exposed to harmful environmental toxins such asheavy metals including lead, mercury and cadmium. Once absorbed into the body, these substances are sent to the liver to be processed and are deposited into the gastrointestinal tract with bile, alongside enzymes which break down food. The toxins deposited here are intended for elimination via natural bowel movements. However, heavy metals are often reabsorbed in the colon with bile which the body reuses. Consequently, heavy metals are once again sent to the liver and this process of enterohepatic circulation continues. As such, heavy metals can circulate in the body for weeks before they are eliminated and when the liver is at full capacity, it will send these toxins to other parts of the body to be stored in muscle, fat, bones and other tissues.

Toxaprevent binds heavy metals, as well as other toxic substances, from bile that has been deposited in the digestive tract. As Toxaprevent does not pass through the intestinal barrier due its particle size, heavy metals that are bound by Toxaprevent are expelled via natural bowel movements with Toxaprevent. This prevents them from being reabsorbed into the body from the colon.

This can trigger the release of toxins already stored in the body which, when the liver processes and deposits into the digestive tract, can also be eliminated with Toxaprevent. The body can then benefit in many aspects from a healthier gut, a lower level of stored heavy metals, and a liver that is relieved of its toxic burden, allowing it to respond more effectively to other treatments and therapies.
