Poor blood circulation often affects those suffering from diabetes. As a result, wounds on the lower extremities often fail to heal and progressively get worse – this is known as diabetic foot syndrome. Deep skin ulcers then form which grow further and further into the affected part of the body and wound closure can become difficult to achieve. Toxaprevent works on open wounds which haven’t healed in the same way it works on leg ulcers. Once bleeding has stopped in an open wound, Toxaprevent SKIN Powder can be applied.
Toxaprevent forms a protective layer of MANC® over the wound which stops pathogens and micro-organisms from entering the wound. It also binds and eliminates bacterially generated histamine in the wound, preventing inflammation, infection and bacteria from spreading. In addition, the environmental toxins lead and mercury, which are present in the wound and delay primary haemostasis, are also bound and eliminated. In doing so, faster healing of the wound is promoted.
In addition, MANC® is enriched with calcium (Ca2+) which triggers the blood clotting cascade and starts healing within the wound. Once the SKIN Powder has been used to achieve wound closure, the SKIN Salve can then be used to bind toxins on the surface of the skin and again, promote faster healing in the final stages.
